How to buy Japanese clothing from abroad (2026)
The hard part is not buying it. It is that a Japanese L is closer to a Western M, and none of it can be returned once it has left Japan.
Why you can't just buy it
Where it stops
- Japanese sizes run roughly one size small
- Japan-only collaborations never reach overseas stores
- Once it ships, it cannot be returned or exchanged
The shops
Where to find it
Every link goes to the shop's own site, and I checked each one loads. Shops not listed here are usually fine too — if it's a Japanese site, I can probably buy from it.
Shipping
What it costs to send
Japan Post's own published EMS rates, as of October 2026. I don't mark these up — you pay what it actually cost.

- This is a rough guide and every brand differs. Ask me and I'll look up the actual measurements — length, chest, sleeve — before buying.
